The Oriental White-eye is a small-sized bird measuring about 11 cm in length. It has dark yellowish-green upperparts, yellow throat and breast with faint yellow stripe extending down the centre of the light grey belly. Its white eye-ring is surrounded by black. This bird can be found in the mangrove forest, coastal scrub and Casuarina trees. It also comes into gardens and plantations near the coast. It usually seen in small flocks (Strange & Jeyarajasingam, 1993). [Source: MyBIS] I made a short overnight trip to Kuala Selangor on 28 March 2021 for family time. Had the opportunity to track the Kuala Selangor Nature Park with my wife & son. At the beginning of the trekking, I came across this Oriental white-eye feeding on the flowering tree. The bird was just about 25ft away then.
