The Sony α1 is the company's flagship interchangeable lens camera, with a 50MP sensor that can capture bursts of images at 30 frames per second and records 8K video. That sensor also helps power the α1's capable autofocus system, which comes with updated machine learning derived algorithms for detecting human faces and eyes, as well as the eyes of many types of animals and birds. With such a technological masterpiece, it is worth while to invest in a protection to the camera body. I am not too happy with the silicone type protection where it is quite difficult to access the buttons. I've researched the internet and come across this KIWIFOTOS Anti-Scratch Decoration Protective Skin 3M Film Cover Sticker for Sony Alpha α1 Camera body. The stickers will not leave any marks on the camera body and can be easily removed. Fixing it will take about two hours. Recommended that you use a tweezer, modelling pen knife & lint-free cloth to help you fit the stickers. The end product simply looks great!!! #sony #sonymalaysia #a1 #alpha #AlphaGuru #SAG #NurIsmailPhotography #KIWIFOTOS

Having fun shooting the moon last night. Thanks to Tok Ki Pungut for reminding me to go out and shoot. This was shot with SONY a1 + SEL200600G + SEL14TC, on my Leofoto LS-324CEX carbon fibre tripod with Leofoto PG-1 tripod gimbal. EXIF: 840mm, f/9, 1/100 sec, ISO 100. The ability to crop aggressively for the a1 is simply superb. No sharpening & no noise reduction done here. Good day! Copyright © 2021 Nur Ismail Photography. All rights reserved. I was given another opportunity by SONY Malaysia to hold a SONY Alpha camera setting for birding workshop, jointly organized with Studio Zaloon. The workshop started at 3:00pm with the registration of the participants, followed by an introduction by SONY Malaysia's Shaiful Baker, followed by my sharing of the birding settings for SONY Alpha cameras till 4:50pm. Mr. Chin Yoke Fee was kind enough to join the workshop half way through. This session was mainly on the settings of the SONY Alpha cameras for bird photography, which covers the SONY a7 and a9 series, including the latest SONY a1 flagship camera. Here are some of the images from the session. Today I was given the opportunity by SONY Malaysia to share my birding experience with the new SONY Alpha 1 flagship mirrorless camera on FB Live. The session was hosted by SONY Store Malaysia's Kenneth Lee and ran from 2:00pm until 3:00pm. Despite the limitations of the MCO, I've only managed to give the SONY a1 a run from April onwards until the Full MCO last May. The session started with a brief introduction about myself, the camera gears that I have used todate, some tips & tricks of using the SONY a1 and finally ended up with sharing the images taken from the SONY a1 with the SONY FE 200-600mm F/5.6-6.3 G OSS zoom lens. Thank you all who have join the session. There were 217 of you! I'll have more sharing next time once I can put the SONY a1 to its paces from birding, sports & landscape photography. Stay tuned! Here are some of the screen shotss during the event. Thank you. Some of the behind-the-scene shots, taken by my lovely wife. #FullFrameLife #MySONYLife #sony #sonymalaysia #a1 #SEL200600G #SEL14TC #alpha #AlphaGuru #SAG #NurIsmailPhotography #madebyluminar #skylum #skylummalaysia #luminar #topazlabs #leofoto #pg1 #Fight4ourPlanet #DiscoverWithMYAlpha #DiscoverWithAlpha #AlphaUniverseMY

It is commonly known as red-headed trogon as the male has a red coloured head. In comparison, the female has a brown head and brownish cinnamon breast. Both sexes have broad white crescent across the breast and purplish blue orbital skin. The juvenile of red-headed trogon is almost similar to the female, but it has a rufescent head, breast and upperparts. This species occurs in the oriental region which encompasses the eastern Himalaya, and southern China through Southeast Asia to Sumatra and can be found in montane and lower montane elevations between 700 m and 2000 m, often perching in the middle storey. Harpactes whiteheadi is a medium-sized trogon measuring up to 33 cm long and is commonly known as Whitehead’s trogon. This is the only trogon in Borneo with a red head and diagnostic (a distinct characteristic) on the male. The male Whitehead's trogon also has a blue bill and orbital rings, black throat, grey breast and red belly. The upperparts are pale rich brown and the under tail is white. In comparison, the female Whitehead's trogon has a dull cinnamon head and belly instead of red. This trogon species mainly feeds on insects such as grasshoppers, ants and leaf insects. The Whitehead’s trogon is endemic to Borneo and is restricted to primary forests above 1000 m elevation. Due to a restricted range of distribution and habitat degradation, the Whitehead’s trogon is listed from Least Concern to Near Threatened in 2004 by the IUCN Red List. [Source: MyBIS].
