Last Friday (11/1/2019), I was invited by a friend to photograph the Kuala Lumpur skyline at sunset, from a location on Bukit Antarabangsa, Ampang. The area is quite secluded and we even encountered with an adult wild boar nearby. I didn't even put the filter on, fearing that the wild boar would come running to where we were.
The view is quite unique where right in the centre of the frame, there's a tree that resembles a bonzai tree from afar, adding character to the whole composition. I will definitely return to this location when the weather is better.
Here are some of the images captured at the location:
Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of joining some fellow landscape photographers trying our luck to shoot sunrise on the bridge leading to Sultan Salahudin Abdul Aziz Shah Building in Shah Alam. At least 10 of us made it, and thankfully, we managed to savour the beautiful and colourful sunrise here. The last time I shoot here was back in 2015.
After shooting from the bridge, I took a short drive to Taman Tasik Shah Alam for a view of the masjid with lake reflection.
Some candid shots during the outing and the breakfast after (courtesy of bro Amir Nor Shah).

Today I attended the SONY Focus Group Interview (FGI) 2019, by invitation of SONY Malaysia, specifically for users of SONY α9, α7RIII and α7RII, as well as SONY's GM lenses to share our experiences. Unlike last year where the FGI was carried out at the SONY Centre @ The Curve, this time around, the interview was carried out at TGI Friday's at The Curve, Mutiara Damansara. I had the opportunity of meeting people from different backgrounds and photography genre and was really honored to have met Yamasaki-san, the new marketing GM for SONY Malaysia at the end of the FGI session.
The FGI was facilitated by Moses Wong throughout the two-hour session. Among the highlights and areas of concerns raised by the participants are:
No group photo this year, probably due to the number of participants. Hope SONY Malaysia will listen to us for the upcoming firmware updates as well as workshops. Looking for more collaboration from SONY Malaysia in the future.

Had to make a last minute change last night from shooting the fireworks at KLCC Park (the open parking lot next to Menara Exxon Mobil) to Residensi Pandanmas 2 apartment in Kampung Pandan, due to time constraints. Thanks a lot to my friends who shared the location.
Here is an HDR image of the location where we shoot the fireworks.
Hopping for a better year this year, both in my career and spiritually. Take care everybody!

Hello everyone! We're at the end of 2018 already. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you, happy New Year 2019. May 2019 brings good health and prosperity to all friends and family.
For those shooting fireworks tonight, here's some tips that I'd like to share with you all! (New Straits Times BOTS Click, Page 42) Special thanks to Mr. Izwan Ismail for the opportunity.
LAMPU Putrajaya, or known as Light and Motion Putrajaya (LAMPU) Festival has become a regular year-end event for the past seven years and a highlight of Putrajaya's events calendar. The main attraction is the spectacular projection mapping show which, using state-of-the-art technology, brings the entire facade of the imposing Palace of Justice building to life with an exciting and colourful light imagery and sounds.
On 30 December 2018, I took my family for a trip to Putrajaya to view the LAMPU 2018 event. Upon arriving to the site, I was greeted by a VIP from Perbadanan Putrajaya who had graciously invited me & my family to enter into the VIP area to view the show. There were bean bags where visitors can lie down and rest while watching the spectacular light show.
I had used my SONY α7RIII with SEL1635GM lens, 16mm, 1/13 sec, f/2.8, ISO 1600. Here are some of the images captured during LAMPU 2018.
Sunrise at Masjid Putra this morning during my first outing with Lee Photo Sdn Bhd as NiSi brand ambassador. Another great milestone in my photography journey. Looking forward for more exciting outings and collaborations with Lee Photo.
It was quite a turn out with about 50 participants, from about 70 participants who signed up. At least half were there at 6:20am. We finished shooting around 9:00am and proceed for breakfast at Putrajaya Lake Club. We all adjourned by 10:15am.
The benefits of using the NiSi Filter System are:
I've previously used several brands prior to using NiSi filters and I must say that NiSi is the way to go for me. If you are looking to own this brilliant filter system, please do not hesitate to drop me an email at email@example.com.
My special thanks to Lee Photo Sdn Bhd for arranging this outing and sincere thanks to everybody who made it this morning. Till next time, have a great holiday everybody!
This was shot my SONY α7SII with SEL1635GM lens, 16mm, f/8, ISO 400, where I used the NiSi V5 Pro holder + NiSi Landscape CPL + NiSi GND .9 Soft filters. This is part of my timelapse sequence.
This was shot my SONY α7RIII with Laowa 12mm lens, 1/30 sec, ISO 400, where I used the NiSi Laowa holder + NiSi Landscape CPL + NiSi Reverse GND .6 filters. You will get some vignetting when using the NiSi CPL, but this can be easily corrected in post processing.
This was shot my SONY α7RIII with Laowa 12mm lens, 30.0 sec, ISO 50, where I used the NiSi Laowa holder + NiSi Landscape CPL + NiSi ND1000 + NiSi ND8 filters.
This was shot my SONY α7RIII with SEL24F14GM lens, f/13, 1/30 sec, ISO 50, no filters.
Group photo of most of the participants taken in front of Putrajaya Lake Club in Precinct 8, Putrajaya.
