Last September 2016, I took a trip with my family to the Blue Mountains in NSW, Australia. We stayed at Katoomba backpacker hotel and took the scenic bus to Leura Cascades carpark. We took a stroll down the cascades and great photo opportunities along the way. Getting down to the main waterfall is relatively easy as you walk down. Here are some of the images captured with my SONY A7RII camera and SONY FE 16-35mm F4 lens while trekking down the cascade walk. Good day!

On 12 September 2016, I took a trip to the Blue Mountains from Sydney to Katoomba, together with my family. It was a beautiful cloudless day in the Blue Mountains. One of the main attractions of the Blue Mountains is The Three Sisters, The Three Sisters are an unusual rock formation in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. They are close to the town of Katoomba and are one of the Blue Mountains' best known sites, towering above the Jamison Valley. The Three Sisters are nicknamed Meehni (922 m), Wimlah (918 m), and Gunnedoo (906 m), based on the aborigine legend folklore. The Sisters were formed by land erosion. The soft sandstone of the Blue Mountains is easily eroded over time by wind, rain and rivers, causing the cliffs surrounding the Jamison Valley to be slowly broken up. Here are some of the images of the sisters captured with my SONY A7RII camera and SONY FE 16-35mm F4 lens during the trip. The best viewpoint to shoot the Three Sisters is from Queen Elizabeth Lookout at Echo Point. |
