I went to the Upper Bisa Wetlands in Precinct 16 Putrajaya to practise on bird-in-flight (BIF) and this time around, I used my SONY a7RIII with the SONY FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS and SONY FE 1.4x Teleconverter and all the images shared below were handheld. From the outcome of the shooting session, I can conclude that the tracking feature (although not real time tracking), works really well with the a7RIII. The main task of ensuring sharp images while tracking is to correctly get a lock on the subject. After that, the tracking will do its job just fine. As proof, here are some of the images shot handheld using the a7RIII.
